A song. A song written by a Mr. Jake Miller that he calls Steven. Is today's topic. The song tells a bout a boy that is picked on by the kids at school, abused by his step dad and neglected by his mother. The song is in fact about a real boy named Steven and Jake miller the singer was sent his story. I've looked and can not find the full story with all the details but i will keep looking. At the end of the song Steven writes letters to his friends and family telling them that it is their fault for making him feel that way. It is their fault for pushing him to hate himself, do drugs and in the end kill himself.
I was listening to this song this very morning and in my head i was able to see it all happening. It's a really good song and i think you should check it out. The song is very clear and up beat even though it is about a sad event. Steven's story happens a lot, to many young people. We get hurt and make bad decisions. Then one day we end it like Steven did because we feel there is no other option.
I listened to the song yesterday,a nd it was great! You're right, bullies and hard family life drive people to make the descions Steven made.
ReplyDeleteI know from personal experience that the things in this song were not made up. I have been through some of the things that Steven endured and it is hard. I, however, made it out. It's good that you're telling people about the things that go on everywhere. It will help them in the long run. :)
